Notes for Addendum 5: NEW COVID SCHOOL GUIDELINES REGARDING QUARANTINE - You cannot test out of a quarantine even though option 2 is listed in a school environment.  A staff or student must quarantine for the full 10 days and self-monitor signs and symptoms on day 11, 12, 13, & 14. Please carefully read the footnotes especially number 7, for further information regarding sports and extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities and sports will remain the full 14-day quarantine even though the student comes to school within the 10 days of the quarantine.

Changes Regarding the NPS Daily Health Screener - 01/28/21

NPS continues to review and adapt Covid protocol on a regular basis to provide a safe environment for students and staff. At the beginning of the school year, health screeners were used to help with the contact tracing process, and provide a proactive health check for those entering schools. On a daily basis, the NPS Health Department works closely with the Norwalk Health Department to ensure that proper contact tracing is conducted. Additionally, our school nurses take every precaution to ensure the health of students. Over the past months, these protocols have evolved and become more efficient, replacing the need for individual health screeners. Therefore, NPS will no longer continue the practice of using health screeners as of February 1.
